Marine Wife left a comment on my previous post and suggested that the cross-stitch Becky made for me would make an excellent header for my blog. Why didn't I think of that? Perhaps because I like to maintain the status quo. But Marine Wife is a wise woman and I thought her idea was wonderful.
In case you missed the announcement when I first started this blog, I am not computer savvy. I've noticed that several friends had personalized their headers but I didn't know how. Thankfully, Blogger is designed for those of us who are, ahem, less than experts.
Once I changed the header, the background didn't look just right. I said good-bye which wasn't easy. It has been a good background and has greeted my cyber-stalkers well. I have a habit of attaching my memories to objects. You should have heard the stories I had attached to my mixer I received as a wedding gift when it quit working after 13 years of service. You can imagine that I have grown accustomed to my old background.
I think I am really going to like the new set up. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. This would be a great time for those of you who read but don't comment to leave a comment. You can leave it as anonymous and just type your name in the text if you would like. No pressure. It is just fun to know who is around. I hope all of my regular stalkers like the change.

For All the Cyber-Stalkers
I received an email from a friend yesterday who "claims" she is not a cyber-stalker, but she was just wondering what happened to my blog posts. I know I have been neglecting the ol' blog. I guess there hasn't been anything too eventful happening. It seems to be feast or famine. There are either so many things I want to blog about, but want to give them separate entries or there is just nothing out of the ordinary to post. However, I love that I have friends who cyber-stalk me.
I've also been wanting to share this.
My friend, Becky, cross-stiched it for me. She said she thought it went well with the blog title. I think she is hinting that I owe her a whole lot of money for all the phone therapy.
We are nearing the end of the school year which means things are about to get really busy. That means all my blog fans (a.k.a. cyber-stalkers) should have lots of material to read.

Happy Easter
He is risen!
Our church had a Saturday evening service this weekend to help with the expected crowd this morning. The sanctuary is packed on a regular Sunday, so there would be no way to handle the Easter overflow without adding additional services. Since P.K. was able to go with us last night, we decided to go then.
Aaron doesn't like changes to his "norm" so we had to explain over and over why we went to church last night and would not go this morning. I started by explaining to him that some people only go to church on Easter and Christmas and that means those days are very crowded. Our pastor asked for anyone who attends on a regular basis and was able to attend one of the extra services, to please do that. That would allow for those people who never or rarely come to church to have a seat and hear about Jesus. Aaron is only seven, but he has a heart for Christ. He gets that Jesus loves him. He gets that Jesus died for him. He gets that Jesus arose from the dead for him. I told him that in our home we celebrate Easter every day because we are always aware that Christ died for our sins and then arose from the dead. I think in his seven year old mind he couldn't get why we had to rearrange our schedule for something we do every day.
As we left church last night, Hannah was showing me her craft she made in her class. It was a little book with pictures that told the story of Jesus. When I flipped to the empty tomb, I showed her the picture and asked her what it was.
Hannah: It is a cave.
Jody: What's in there?
Hannah; (Wide eyed) Nothing.
Jody: Was there something in there?
Hannah: Jesus
Jody: Why is it empty now?
Hannah: Because Jesus rised-ed from the dead.
Jody: Yes. He did rised-ed from the dead.
He is risen indeed!
This is the first year the girls haven't had matching dresses.
Aaron loves to wear a tie.
