Rachel was invited to trick or treat with a friend this year and sleepover at the friend's house, so this is the first year that we trick or treated without her. We made it to about six houses with Aaron and Hannah before it began pouring rain. There was trick or treating at the mall, but by the time we got there all the stores were already out of candy. The kids were so disappointed. We felt so bad for them that we took them to WalMart and let them pick out their own bag of candy. Aaron said, "I can't say this is the best Halloween I've ever had, but I can say it is one I will never forget."
As usual PK and I dressed up this year, but we neglected to get a picture.
Aaron was a herpetologist.
Hannah was a zookeeper. She pulled several of her stuffed jungle animals in the the wagon until it started to rain.
Rachel was candy corn. The costume was actually a candy corn witch, but we just said candy corn. She tried on a costume that actually was candy corn, but it was too small.

Aahh.... So sorry it rained on your Halloween! It rained here during the day, and was so cold for trick-or-treating, but didn't rain, thankfully. Poor kids! I know mine would have been so sad about it. They looked so cute though. Clay always paints his face (something I think is crazy) - he was the black spiderman - just a black face with white eyes like spiderman. I was me - as usual!
so what did you and PK dress up as?
Love the shots of the kids in their costumes! They are all so cute... I can't wait to see them! I love Aaron's statement...it is SO the kind of thing his wife would come up with! They are truly meant for one another! Next year's assignment--photos of the whole family dressed up together!
Oh my goodness! Rachel's costume is the one Anna wanted! (Ended up they didn't have it in her size). Anyhoo...I said those same words to Anna, "I don't like the witch part. We could just call you candy corn girl" :0)

I will say I didn't know what a Herpetologist was but now I do....it is not what I was thinking!!! I am driving to Atlanta to get the dog but not sure if I will have time to meet you. There, I said it! I am sorry!! I really need to visit my Grandmother and am driving back the same day so will be in a hurry. I love you dearly Jody!!!! I will talk to you soon!! I still am thinking about Christmas. It might just be me and the kids on the 26th but I will keep you posted. My mom wants me to stay with family but I tell her you practically are family!!
