Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder

Hannah spotted the first dandelions of the year as we were leaving the YMCA yesterday. She picked a couple and of course we had to get out a vase when we got home. This morning when we left the Y, she picked some more. Yes, I know they are dandelions. Yes, I know they are weeds. Yes, I know some of you would go to great extremes to keep them out of your yard. But through the eyes of my four year old I see bright, pretty, yellow flowers that are a sure sign that spring is here. Maybe I should look at some of my other "weeds" through Hannah's eyes.

Better in a vase on the table than covering your yard. ;) It would make me happy if I could get my husband to go to great lengths to keep them out of my yard, but alas... I had to threaten throttling of #1 & #2 yesterday when they were preparing to blow dandelion seeds all over the front yard here. Because we need MORE... ;) Hugs to you all!

Awww! What a cute picture. I know exactly what you mean by looking through the eyes of the kids. I need to do that more often. Glad you indulged her with putting those flowers in a vase!

Beautiful child! I love it when they enjoy God's creation!
