The Drive-In

When we lived in California, one of our favorite family activities was to go to the drive-in. We didn't have one nearby in Illinois. I was thrilled to find we have one not to far from our current home. Since it opened for the season a few weeks ago, I've been waiting for a kid friendly flick. It is also one of the things on my list of things to do with Hailey while she is visiting. Last night we went to see Kung Fu Panda.

FUN!! If the girls hadn't already seen Kung Fu Panda, I'd be "all over this" as well. Hope you had fun. (It looks like it, judging by the photos.)

Have fun this weekend! (Don't forget about the belly flops!) :-)

I would love it if a drive in was near us! There hasn't been one around here where we live since I was a little girl. I don't know why there aren't more of them, it seems like a great idea. I haven't been to a movie since the week before Joshua was born! I really need to get out! He's afraid of loud noises, and you know about the fact that he gets so upset so easily, so... hopefully soon he will be ready to go to the movies.

Can I just tell you how jealous I am that you need a blanket to sit outside and watch a movie???? I'm thinking about the stifling 95 degrees with major humidity that we have going on outdoors here and am just thanking GOD that our a/c is working well so far this year. Craziness is subsiding here this coming week--we've got to catch up... I'm missing my Moxie time!
