As I mentioned in a previous post, I am trying to get past some of my control issues. So on days when we don't have to go anywhere that requires us to get out of the car, I've been letting Hannah wear whatever she wants.
This past Saturday was one of those days. I told Hannah to get dressed and she said something about wearing stripes. It was one of those moments where I was doing several things at once and was half listening to her. You all will be so proud of me for not saying a word and stifling my laughter when this is what I found.

Looks like I am the one with control issues - or lack of control issues. That is a VERY typical outfit of Allison's that she would wear anywhere we have to go. I gave that fight up a long time ago - like when she started to speak!
Too cute!
I gave up the fight a long time ago. As long as it's weather appropriate... *sigh*
Jalyn is the same way! It's hard for me to shut my mouth also. Another thing she does that (sorry, drives me a little crazy), is that if it's warm out, she puts on long sleeves. If it's cold, she puts on a short sleeve shirt. Then complains when she is hot or especially if she is cold!
Marine Wife - weather appropriate? Is there such a thing for a 5 year old girl? I figure, if she's cold, she's cold! And maybe she'll listen to me next time! hee hee. My friends don't say I have mediocre parenting skills for nothing!
Gee it is true what they say old people do go through a second childhood. That looks like some of the outfits the old folks wear at the nursing home. ) But I think she is making her own fashion statement. I like stripes and I have arrived.
I'm thinking that she may be onto something and that she just might start a trend here.
And to think that I knew her when . . .
Go Hannah...Go Hannah...It's not your birthday...But you can wear it anyway... :)
