She's Six

Hannah celebrated her sixth birthday 3 different times. A girl after my own heart! On Sunday she had a birthday party at the movie theatre. We saw Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. The theatre had an area where we were able to have cake and let Hannah open her gifts.

Here she is with her cake.

The girls got boas and Aaron had a top hat.

Instead of goody bags, I put one stuffed animal in this popcorn bags. Hannah loves stuffed animals and her friends do too. They were able to snuggle with them during the movie. I've decided that goody bags are highly over rated. They are expensive to fill and the contents usually aren't worth keeping.

On her actual birthday she chose the dinner menu and we had cookie cake. Of course, she got to use the family celebration plate. When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner she said, "Salad." Yes, this child does like her salad, so we had a big salad bar.

She was also able to take in cupcakes to share with her class at school. I went in and had lunch with her that day as well. Kindergartners are hilarious lunch dates!

Happy birthday, Hannah!!

Oh, happy 6th birthday!

Jody, you are ever the creative one! What a good idea about the movie and the stuffed animals! We saw that movie last week, and Joshua hasn't stopped talking about it yet! Can't wait to get it on video!

Salad! Only Jalyn (and me) love salad in this house! Neither of the boys will eat it, and Clay only does when I put it in front of him!

Oh, how can our BABY be six???? What is going on here? :) I'm glad that Hannah Banana had a good birthday, although I guess she's probably starting to outgrow my favorite nickname for her... :(

That cake was awesome! Did you make that or buy it? I'm about to be 100% completely impressed if you decorated that by yourself. It was far beyond my capabilities.
I wouldn't even attempt to do a cake that had to come out of the pan first--my talent ends with putting sprinkles on top of a cake in a 9x13 pan!
