Really?

Rachel brought home the following note from school today.

Dear Parents,

Due to economic times, we are requesting that you send in THREE stamps for your child's report card and other end-of-the-year information to be mailed to you. Please send in the stamps to your child's teacher as soon as possible. Do not place the stamps on any envelope. If you choose not to send int he stamps, you can pick up your child's report card (at name of school) June 1st through June 4th (Our summer hours are from 8:00-6:00 p.m. closing for lunch from 11:30 till 1:00 p.m. and CLOSED on FRIDAYS).
Thank you!

This is the same school that just raised over $20,000 for smart boards in the classrooms!

Wow. I'm speechless. Allison has a folder that goes back and forth daily bringing all kinds of info (and her report card) home. What is the school going to do if someone sends in a 42 cent stamp this week, and it doesn't get used until after the price of stamps goes up to 44 cents on May 11? Send another note home asking for 3 2 cent stamps? Wow. Just wow.

That really does sound a little mind boggling!

Anna's report card comes home in an envelope that I have to sign and send back, indicating I received the report card.

How hard is that? :0)
